Hey! :D, so it's been a while since I've updated this and truth be told I'm still new to this posting stuff so it slips my mind from time to time until I create a strict schedule. That being said this is an update of everything that I've been up to and that has happened over the last few months and maybe to give reason as to why I haven't been posting.
So as you may have already figured out I have survived my first GDC. It was an absolutely amazing experience one that I will never forget. I had the pleasure of meeting so many new, interesting and inspiring people that I hope to one day meet again, talk dev over a beer or just hangout with. GDC is an experience to say the least and when you travel so far and are surrounded by passionate and like minded people you get understanding of how vast the Game Dev Community actually is especially when coming from a country with a small dev scene and comparing that to other larger scenes across the world. I've tossed around the idea of creating a document outlining my experience at GDC how I believe I got the most out of the event for me and as a way of sharing information and tips to those who are considering going or who would like to go, I've created a poll underneath if you're interested in hearing about my experience in depth let me know and I'll get on it :).
So if I haven't mentioned it somewhere already I'm still in college. This year has wrapped up and i'm moving on to my final year. Part of the reason I haven't been able to post is because I've had other priorities like completing assignments and side projects that I will be sharing on the site. For my assignments and side projects I will be creating videos and posting them here and on my social media for you all to see. As for the my final year project I am currently looking for a 3D character artist and animator so if interested connect with me on twitter or linkedin and I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you :D, do note that unfortunately as this is a college assignment spanning an 11 month development period it is a lengthy ish project and due to only being a college project I do not have the means to pay anyone for their services so if your a student or just looking to jump on a project to expand your portfolio or even your in animation and want to break into games but have no experience working with animation in games and would like to learn and gain some experience by all means get in touch :).
Got a JOB!!! :D
So to some up the last few months its been pretty hectic. I am now just getting to a state of equilibrium. I hope to post more on this with more of my opinions and pick game dev related topics and share my view on said topic will have been chosen, these are all plans of course and we will see if they come into fruition. My plan would be to start posting about topics this coming week with a topic weekly or by weekly so until then BYE!!!
Forgot to mention my business cards arrived a couple of days ago, I'll be handing these out at GDC so if you see me ask for a card I wont be short of any for a while :), post not sponsored by vistaprint, unless vistaprint is reading this then hey...... ;) you know my contact details......
GDC Preparations are underway, theirs a lot to do in so little time and I ammaking a blog post, as you can tell I clearly have my priorities set.
Some renders and images on the site are branded with the link to my old portfolio site, these will be updated once tim allows.
Welcome to my Portfolio :), the site is currently under changes so some buttons have been disabled and some things about the site might not seem finished, however I am currently working on the site along side other projects I have going on and will attend to each issue accordingly. In the mean time by all means get in touch if you have any questions. thank you.
